Roy Ferguson
Lead Pastor
Roy Ferguson was born in Canton, OH, and was raised as the son of a Pastor in Indiana, Colorado, Kansas, and Kentucky. He met his wife, Sally while they were in college at Anderson University in Indiana. Roy and Sally were married in June 1987 and have 2 grown children, Nathanael and Anna. They are the proud grandparents of Emma, Sophea and Graham, and have a grand puppy named Filmore. At Anderson University, Roy earned a B.A. in Religion, with a minor in Business Administration.. After college Roy earned a Master of Divinity degree from Anderson University School of Theology.
Roy served as a Youth Pastor in Missouri for 3 years before answering the call to come to Busti COG in August of 1995.
Roy enjoys playing golf, reading, music, playing games with friends and family, and watching baseball and football.
Roy and Sally continue to be excited about serving Busti and the surrounding community by endeavoring to honor Jesus by modeling what it means to lead and love like Jesus.

Scott Smith
Associate Pastor
Scott Smith was born and raised in Jamestown, NY. His father retired from SKF as a machinist and his mother retired as a receptionist from a local dental office. He graduated from Levant Christian School attended Elim Bible Institute for two years and transferred to L.I.F.E. Bible College East in Christiansburg, VA were he graduated with a B.A. in Theology. Scott continued his eduction with West Coast Bible College and Seminary receiving a Masters in Religious Education.
It was in Christiansburg, VA where he met, the woman of his dreams and better half, Danika. They married in 1999. Scott served in Newton, Iowa from 2000-2004 as Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor in the Newton Foursquare Church. Scott and Danika moved to Jamestown, NY in 2004 when he accepted the position of Associate Pastor with Busti Church of God.
He loves the outdoors, hunting, fishing, cars, and guitars. He is a Buffalo Bills fan claiming, “He was born into it.” He also is a fan of the Yankees, Sabres and college sports. He is challenged at golf. He has four children and loves to spend time with them. His prayer is to honor Jesus with his life. He has a deep desire to see the Christian Church make a positive impact on the community around them by serving and loving people.

Danika Smith
Worship Pastor / Associate Pastor
Danika Smith was adopted on the Island of Saipan by pastors Jim and Dottie Black. She lived in North Carolina, Michigan, San Diego and Bakersfield California and lived most of her growing up years in Newton, Iowa. She grew up the oldest of six kids, graduated homeschooled and was well trained in church ministries.
After high school, she attended LIFE Bible College East for fours years graduating with BA in Theology (1996-2000). It was there that she met the cutest guy on campus, Scott Smith, and married him. They both served in pastoral ministries with her family in Iowa for four years and then moved to Jamestown, NY where Scott took a position as Associate Pastor at the Busti Church of God.
Danika loved the few years she spent as a stay at home mom before entering the work force as a teacher at Bethel Baptist Christian Academy. She filled several positions at the school for four years. Danika has always had a love and calling to serve the local church making it very natural when accepting the worship pastor and youth leader position at the Busti Church of God in 2011.
She serves alongside the best staff and is continually encouraged and blessed by her church family. Danika loves music and loves teens and loves when the two cross sometimes!
Danika and her husband Scott have been married since 1999 and have four awesome kids, Tyler, Coby, Hailey and Ashlyn. Her heart’s desire is to honor God by loving and serving her family and all who cross her path.
